We are more than just a brand; we are a platform dedicated to the enduring spirit of Pan-Africanism and the unwavering pursuit of truth and liberation across the continent and the diaspora.Our mission is to ignite conversations, connect the global African community, and celebrate the rich, complex history of the struggle for true freedom.The Story: Why We Walk the Refugee Road .The heart of Azanianrebel lies in the story of RobI, the central figure of our novel, Azanianrebel. It’s all about perspective, walking down this rough, rocky road: Refugee Road.
The Genesis: RobI found himself locked into the Exile Zoo, joining his brother who had fled South Africa six months before him. Though he made his own choices, when you take on the beast, where do you find refuge?.
The Network of Exiles: The thing about the Exile Zoo is that all exiles have some common thread that connects them all, somewhere on some kind of reciprocated plane, where you acknowledge a Homey, longing for home. Through this mycelium-like network, the brothers got to chill with top exiled musicians and wise philosophical and political thinkers.
The Struggle: They soon got involved with an organisation helping young white South African men escape their compulsory call up to the war. This inevitably led them into the murky world of political intrigue and collusion. Standing fearlessly against apartheid, the brothers got in too deep until the unfathomable assassination of his older brother leaves RobI devastated.
The Return: Searching for truth and rights and a better overstanding of Human consciousness, RobI returns home to South Africa. Still on the run from the military police, he was forced to live a clandestine life, which was expedited by the budding Rasta community all over South Africa.
The Diaspora Link: When the confrontations became too much, to exile he fled again, this time to Holland, where he hooked up with his childhood rebel friend ‘Deezo’. Together they represented South African culture, music and politics, playing at all the anti-apartheid gigs and demonstrations until finally apartheid fell.The story of Azanianrebel is the story of every exile, every revolutionary, and every soul longing for a true, united Africa.

Azanianrebel is here to ensure that the search for truth and a better understanding of Human consciousness endures.
